Mirijam grew up in Belgrade in a German-Serbian family, where she completed her long-term training in the performing arts. Mirijam's motto is “I'm from nowhere”, referring to her mixed roots. As a child of parents of mixed nationality, Mirijam was never recognized as one of them. That's why she chose English as her language from an early age. Therefore Mirijam speaks English without an accent. In Berlin she studied at the renowned “UdK”, which she completed in 2000 with a master’s degree. Workshops in English followed, among others with Giles Foreman, Paul Miller (Drama Center London) and Seamus McNally at the (Cavale Studio) in New York. Since then, Mirijam has had engagements at various stages such as the Theater im Stadthafen Rostock , the open-air theater Monbijou Theater in Berlin and the Volksbühne im Prater- Mirijam caused a sensation with the role of Jasmina Lauschevic in the WDR series “Endlich Deutsch”, a mockumentary directed by Lutz Heineking Jr. ,which was published in 2015 for Grimme Prize and nominated. There are also appearances in German film and television productions, such as: The Heretic Bride, Tsokos Zerschunden, Other Parents, The Sportpenner, For Umme, Let Go and many others. Mirijam currently has her main residence in Berlin with accommodation in Belgrade.
